A strong union needs skills, benefits and ACTION!
The success of union carpenters when it comes to building offshore wind is a result of two things: training and collaboration. We’re committed to the success of our building partners and commit to developing and implementing programs that deliver they need.
Here in the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, that’s resulted in deep, mutually beneficial working relationships with developers, builders and subcontractors. Our work now involves extending those relationships.
Staff from NASRCC organized a meeting between offshore wind developers and our Brothers and Sisters from the Atlantic Canada Regional Council of Carpenters, Millwright and Allied Workers (ACRC) to discuss potential offshore work further North in the Atlantic Ocean.
The ACRC folks also stopped by the NASRCC office in Boston to meet with EST Joe Byrne and tour the facility.
