A strong union needs skills, benefits and ACTION!
The Construction Industries of Massachusetts-Labor Relations Division (CIM-LRD) will be awarding up to ten $5,000 academic scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year. Among the eligible candidates are employees of contractors that are members of the CIM-LRD–including union carpenters who work for heavy-highway contractors, their children and grandchildren.
These college scholarships will be awarded to eligible applicants who intend to pursue a construction-related major such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, etc., in college in the Fall of 2022. The purpose of this award is to encourage CIM-LRD employees or the children and grandchildren of CIM-LRD employees to pursue construction-related careers.
Eligibility is open to full-time or part-time students or students in continuing education programs who may receive up to $5,000 annually in scholarship, depending on the number of courses taken during the academic year.
The deadline for applications is March 1, 2022.
