Paying Our Respects For Rile

For 34 years, our Brother, Rile Rhodes served the Carpenters union. As an active member, steward, executive board member, regional and national delegate, organizer, business representative and business manager in Local 33 and 327, he led by example. Sometimes he helped members one-on-one while other times he called us together to raise the power of our voices.

That’s what unions are all about.

It is now time for us to recognize Rile’s service, in his memory and in support of his family. Carpenters are invited to gather for Rile’s wake on Wednesday, March 1 at 2:45 in the parking lot on the corner of Fenno Street and Hancock Street in Quincy across from the Keohane Funeral Home. From there, we will walk to the service together, paying our respects to the Rhodes family.

We ask that you please keep in mind all that Rile did for our union and individual members and help us show what unions are about by generating a big turnout in support of the Rhodes family. Members of all Carpenters Local Unions are invited to join us.

Funeral services will be from Keohane and St. Ann’s Church on Thursday morning.  Following burial, Local 327 will be hosting a lunch for family, friends and union members at Florian Hall in Dorchester.
