A strong union needs skills, benefits and ACTION!
The United Brotherhood of Carpenters recently announced the retirement of former North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters Executive Secretary-Treasurer and Local 327 member Tom Flynn from his position as General Vice President of the union.
“In his many years of service to the Brotherhood, Tom has played a crucial role in the evolution and improvement of our local unions, regional council and international union,” said NASRCC EST Joe Byrne. “His leadership has always been wise, personal, accessible, and full of good humor. Tom’s work touched the lives of tens of thousands of union members and their families and we will always be indebted to him for his valuable service.”
Following Tom’s retirement, UBC General President Doug McCarron made the following appointments to leadership positions.
“These Brothers have long demonstrated the talent, commitment and leadership necessary to successfully fulfill the duties of these roles. I hope you will join me in congratulating and supporting them for the future advancement of the entire Brotherhood,” Byrne said.
