Nick Crimaldi

Nick Crimaldi earned a bachelor’s degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology having taken part in a program developed by the North Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters that allows members to earn degrees at a reduced cost. And, now he’s enrolled at Harvard University!

Crimaldi joined the union as an apprentice carpenter when another union carpenter, Local 328 Business Representative Jeff Martin, spotted him leading a landscaping crew that was cutting the grass at the Local 328 building. Martin noticed his leadership skills and work ethic and suggested he consider the carpenters apprenticeship program.

“It’s not that far fetched for a carpenter to go to a school like Harvard… We are carpenters, we can do anything. We are inquisitive by nature; we make the impossible happen everyday. We take things and leave them better than we found them; that’s in our DNA.”
