Workers are currently filing a lawsuit to get paid what they are owed from their work on Optiline projects. You may be able to join it.
Who Could Benefit From This Lawsuit?
Here is an Example:
Pedro worked hanging drywall on an Optiline project for 4 weeks in May of 2023. Each week he worked 58 hours, earning $28 per hour in cash.
He was not paid directly by Optiline but by a labor broker. Pedro never received overtime pay for the 18 hours over 40 he worked each week.
In this example, how much should Pedro have been paid for overtime work – and how much could he receive from this lawsuit?
• Additional Pay for Each Overtime Hour: $14.00 (half of Pedro’s hourly wage)
• Additional Wages Pedro should have Received: $1,008 ($14.00 x 72 hours)
• Under Massachusetts law, Pedro is Owed: $3,024 (3 times the wages Pedro is owed)
